Koop’s dewatering project between the “ Bordeaux”  vineyards is coming to an end.

September 2008

L’artère de Guyenne is already more than 50 years the backbone of the French gas distribution network.
A first split up of this particular section is realised in the years 2002-2003
Because the growing demand for gas  there was a really need to construct 120 km of new pipe line.

The Belgian pipe line contractor, called Denys , was appointed to build a DN 800 over a stretch of about 55 km  between Laprade and Lamothe -Montavel . For the dewatering activities the Denys trusted on our expertise.
The hot spot of our the activities was in the  valley of the river Isle where several roads, a railway and a river has to be crossed.
To ensure  an effective drainage in these difficult soil conditions ( gravel, stone and hard banks ) were different techniques and equipment used .  A trencher  with a adapted cutter chain and  drilling equipment for gravity filters
has giving an satisfactory answer to their demands and in respect of the environmental regulations.
Nevertheless the bad weather condities till the beginning of June, the work respected the term of delivery.
Beside of some pumping activities near  the final point, our demobilisation of machinery and equipment  is already started.
